THE CHALLENGE

Was to create a computer game for children and young people on the theme 'Discovery and Adventure'.

  • KS2 - use Scratch software to create a computer game based on the theme. 

  • KS3 - use Scratch or Python software to create a computer game based on the theme. 

  • KS4 - use Python software to create a game based on the theme. ​

 

THE RULES!

  1. Closing date - midnight 31/01/19.

  2. Awards ceremony - 07/03/19

  3. Winners will be notified in February

  4. The competition is open to any child who lives in Wales, or attends a school or code club in Wales, and is 7-16 years old (Key Stage 2, 3 and 4)

  5. You can compete as an individual or team of up to 4 people.

  6. All competitors must obtain parental/guardian's consent before submitting an application.

  7. We only accept entries created with Scratch 2.0/3.0 and Python software. Entries created using any other software will not be accepted.

  8. A formal competition form must be received with each entry. Entries will not be accepted without this form.

  9. The work submitted must be the original work of the individual or team. Remixing work created by others is not permitted.

  10. Candidates are allowed to receive support from teachers / classroom assistants / club leaders as part of the normal learning process.

  11. There are no restrictions on the number of entries an individual can make, but when multiple entries are made it is expected that each entry is significantly different.

  12. We reserve the right to reject any entries that, in our opinion, include inappropriate material.

  13. When you submit an entry, you consent to Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor and its partners to make unlimited use of the work submitted, for educational purposes or publicity. In such use, the College will ensure that the author / school is clearly acknowledged.

  14. Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor will keep your contact data confidential and will not release it to any other parties.
